5 Key Tips Your Competitor Doesn’t Know

While Others Struggle, Discover How Your Business Can Prosper

I love this!  One of my mentors sent me an email with this headline and I just had to share it with you:

If you are struggling with your advertising and aren’t sure that it’s working, then here are some great tips:

  1. Use the same media your competitors are doing, but differently.  

For example, have a Yellow Page Ad but have a Direct Response in the Ad that will ‘direct’ your client to your website and NOT your home page.  This way, you can measure whether or not the advertising is working.

  1. Use media that no one else uses.   Stability comes from Diversity.  

As a small business owner in Canada, you have many advantages.  Your competitor is probably NOT using Direct Response advertising.  It’s important to note that Direct Response advertising is not the same as Direct Mail.  (If you are not sure what Direct Response Advertising is, then click here).

  1. More opportunities to “Attract and Acquire” your ideal client.  

If you have a strategic marketing plan, you will create more opportunities for your target audience to see you.  Don’t make the assumption that a marketing plan is the same as an advertising plan.   Studies have shown that your client needs to see you AT LEAST 15 times now before they make a buying a decision.  Think about how people’s buying behaviour has changed.  For example, most of your clients will do research on line even before they call you or come to see you.  If you don’t have a website or your website is older than 2years old, you are missing out on a huge opportunity to create a Direct Response Marketing Campaign.

  1. More Money To Spend Wisely.

When you measure everything like we do for our clients, we know what works and what doesn’t.  When you use Direct Response Advertising you can measure the results or what we refer to as your ROI; Return On Investment.   When we measure, we continue to do what works and stop what doesn’t.

  1. More time and Energy to Sell.

When you know that your marketing is being taken care of, and your advertising is working, then you can focus on what really makes you money; focusing ON your business instead of just working IN it.

Marketing is all about generating the leads for your business.  The money comes from selling your solution to your ideal client.
